YoyooBlue listings use the leather wording we have from the product. This page explains common terms so you can read a title without assuming a grade we have not named.
Genuine leather
A legal-grade term for real leather that is not a specific hide quality. It can still be a solid casual shoe; it is not a synonym for full-grain.
Top-grain leather
The outer layer of the hide with the surface sanded or finished for a more even look. Common on everyday leather shoes.
Full-grain leather
The intact outer grain, including natural marks. We only use this phrase on a product when the data says so. See what full-grain leather is.
Suede and nubuck
Napped surfaces. They scuff more easily and need a brush rather than a hard polish. Care notes are on shoe care.
How to read our shop
If a product says “leather” only, treat it as leather. Colour, last, and stitching are still described on the page. Shop leather casual shoes or read leather articles.
