Full-grain leather is the outer surface of the hide with the natural grain left intact. It shows marks, pores, and, over time, a patina. Top-grain is sanded or corrected for a more uniform look. “Genuine leather” is a real leather grade but usually lower in the hide and more heavily finished.
YoyooBlue product pages should state the leather type only when that information is in the product data. This article is educational. It does not mean every pair in the shop is full-grain.
When you read a listing, look for the material line: genuine leather, top-grain, or full-grain. If it simply says “leather,” treat that as leather, not an upgrade. For care that suits most leather uppers, see Leather shoe care and the leather guide.
